Theres a multiplayer sonic game known to most of the more knowledgeable Internet users as SRB2 . Its based off of the Doom engine created by I.D software. This 3rd/1st person game has a decent online community, as It has around ten servers at the high of the day full to the brim with players. Download this awesome game here ^^. Anyways, I often create a server for a large amount of modes, and I think that more of newgrounds should join up, because its free, its fun, and its cool.

Check the "Addons" Section of the site for additional characters, such as Shadow, amy, Metal sonic, Metal knuckles, and the almighty Tails doll, just to name a few. Another mod, SRB2JTE , was created by Jason The Echidna, is a mod on SRB2, and has many alternate features, such as Super shadow, chaos control, exploding boxes, super rings, exc. Its worth checking out at least. You can download SRB2JTE here, but I reccomend downloading SRB2 first. I normally run a server around 2 pm EST.

On another note, The makers of This also created SRB2 Riders.
This is also requires SRB2 to run correctly, this is another modification to the core game.
It features original Sonic riders quotes and music, along with 6 different riders to choose from when they are all unlocked, by gathering the chaos emeralds scattered along the course. You can download it from the Wiki page link from earlier.

I hope to see some newgrounds members on it, And The user of the computers name appears in your multiplayer profile, so make sure to change it before you start playing if you don't want your name all over. Please use your newgrounds I.D if you download from these links, as I will be able to indentify who plays, and eventually make a list of who to P.M about Net matches.

Some basic rules that might kick you off the master server if you don't follow them ( these aren't my rules, Just the creators.),

1. No cybering/roleplaying servers
2. No advertising
3. No clan tags

There are more minor ones, but they aren't as important.
